I finished high school in UAE
then I traveled to Canada to study in university
the whole family came here
this is my second year in Canada
the first year was a bit difficult
I had to get used to a lot of things
the second year is better, but from the studies point of view its very hard.

I haven't met a lot of friends yet
very few emaratis here
from my 2 years in carleton I saw 3 emarati girls
i could tell from the 3abaya of course
and i saw 2 emarati guys in the library
there are more saudi people here than any other gulf country

My major is a "new thing"
it started 5 years ago
in Canada there has been one graduate class from this major in 2008
basically the major is about computer science (programming, GUI, etc)
and the second part of it is life science (Biology, Chemistry, etc)
its very hard and stressful but it has a bright future.
it is said that its going to be the big thing for the next 20 years - "Bill Gates"

Canada is a beautiful country
very nice and friendly people
the weather is amazing in spring and summer
in fall and winter its cold of course
the coldest temperature I witnessed was -21
its extremely cold to the point that my whole body started to hurt
specially my face I had to wear a mask to go to my classes
other than the harsh winters Canada is a lovely country
a bit boring in activities and stuff
but in terms of site-seeing and nature and all that its very good
its a great place for summer vacations

My first interest in photography is when I saw the pictures my uncle used to take with his canon
he used to take very beautiful pictures of nature, people and different things
I used to sneak to his room and take the camera to play with it
it was off limits because I was just a kid
I used to borrow my dad's point and shoot camera
but the pictures were not that interesting
I didn't have the experience or the insight of a photographer like my uncle
so I got bored of it after a while << I was a kid !!
and then in high school I started to take pictures again
but with a regular point and shoot camera
and since then I've been taking random pictures
I still don't have an SLR camera
I'm planning on buying a Sony Alpha a350
I would like to know ur opinions on this camera if I should get it or not

I used to visit this website a lot for about 2 years now
but i didn't register because I didn't have anything interesting to show
the people here are very talented with a lot of experience in what they r doing
I'm just an amateur with a hobby
i started getting encouragements to post my pictures online in one of the forums
so i tried my best to take nice pictures with my old useless point and shoot camera
some of them were ok and worth posting
hopefully when I get my DSLR I'll be a better photographer
I definitely have the passion and the enthusiasm for it

umm 1 request from my watcher plz
when I post a new picture, can you please point out the things that I didn't do well in
like the lighting the angle the color, etc
that would very helpful to improve and be a better photographer
